I saw your first semester Grade 9 report card.
I just want you to know that I am so proud of you!
Geography at 90%. English at 87%. That’s strong. It tells me you’re capable, you think well, and you can express your ideas clearly. Your teachers also mentioned that you’ve been growing and improving, and that matters a lot 🙂
What stood out to me the most wasn’t just the grades though. One of your teachers said you help make the classroom a more positive place and include others. That says a lot about the kind of person you’re becoming.
Math looks like it was tougher this semester. That’s okay. A lot of people struggle with math in Grade 9. It’s a big jump from elementary school. What matters is that your teacher noticed you improving because of effort and willingness to learn. That’s the part that actually predicts success later.
If I could sit down with you right now, here’s what I would tell you:
You’re clearly smart.
You’re capable of doing really well.
Don’t let one hard subject make you doubt yourself.
And keep being kind to people … that will take you further than any mark on a report card.
High school is the start of figuring out who you are and what you’re good at. You don’t have to have everything figured out right now.
I just want you to know that I see you trying, and it matters to me.
I want you to know something that hasn’t changed and won’t change:
I Love You and I’m proud of you!
Tata xoxo
