Slow down. Enjoy the little joys … a giggle, a sunny morning.

They don’t define you. What matters is what you learn and how you rise afterward.

5. You are loved – ALWAYS.

No matter how big you get or how much time passes, you will forever be my child, my heart, my pride.

Last night the Jays and Dodgers went 18 innings before the Dodgers edged out a 6–5 win. I went to bed after the 12th inning, so I missed the finale, but what a game!

The series is 2–1 Dodgers, but the Jays are strong. I’m betting they’ll get at least one win of the next two games.

Last week, I joined my child’s class on a farm trip. It was a simple day that felt like a breath of fresh air. The kids fed animals, ran through the fields, and asked a million questions.

Watching my child’s wonder reminded me how good it feels to slow down and enjoy the small things.

A Thanksgiving Message for My Family

Thanksgiving is a time to pause and be thankful for the people who mean the most to us.

This year, I’m thankful for my family. For the love, the laughter, and even the challenges that help us grow stronger together. Every day brings something new to be grateful for.

Ava, I am so thankful for you. You’ve been through a lot these past few years, and I see how strong you are. I’m proud of your heart, your courage, and your kindness. You keep moving forward, and that means so much to me.

Watching you grow and find your way means more to me than words can say.

Today is a special day to celebrate daughters.

Ava, I want you to know how much you mean to me. You are smart, kind, and beautiful, and I am so proud to be your dad.

I am also thankful for both of my daughters. You bring so much love, laughter, and happiness into my life.

Dear Ava,

September 2 is such a big day – you’re starting high school! This is such an exciting new chapter in your life, and I just want you to know how proud I am of you. High school will bring new classes, new friends, and new experiences. Sometimes it might feel exciting, other times a little overwhelming, and that’s completely normal.

Through it all, I hope you remember that you’re strong, capable, and more than ready for this next step. You don’t need to have it all figured out at once. Take it one day at a time, be yourself, and keep believing in who you are.

Most importantly, always know this: I’m here for you, no matter what. Even if life gets busy or confusing, my love and support for you never changes. I’ll always be cheering you on and believing in you every step of the way.

Yesterday I went hiking and fishing with my little one. We caught 2 fish! It was fun and exciting! One big one and one little one. The weather was perfect. We look forward to going again.
